Eve of Christmas~

What's this? I hear carols and music, I feel...cheerful vibes. Is it that time of the year again?? Cookies and milk?? Trees and presents? Santa!!?? YES!!! IT IS CHRISTMAS! With just another day to go, have you had all your shopping done? Gifts wrapped up? The writer for one....has never celebrated Christmas, for one main reason, it wasn't his religion. BUT, that doesn't stop him from joining in the celebration! For this year, as the year 2011 comes to a close, he has but one thing he wishes to do, to voice out what was tucked deep within him.

----------------------------------------------------------------

As the eve came,
As the snow fell,
There's the smell of cinnamon,
There's the merry sound of music,
As this eve of Christmas come to a pass,

There is but one word,
One little sentence that probably meant the world to him,
One that would be of little importance,
That simple sentence,
With the falling snow,
Is uttered out.....
All I want for Christmas,
Is..You...

Merry Christmas~
Cheers to all and have a blessed weekend!

Adventure! Comic Fiesta 2011! (Part 2)

Here we are again on the adventure of (yours truly) Vincent. After having not much of an exciting day previously, today would be a lot more different. As they always say, "A new day brings new things" (Or I think that's what they said). So, here goes!

DAY 2 - After a few hours of energy regenerating sleep, the adventurer(yours truly) is ready once again for another day at KLCC. "Comic.Fiesta.here.I.come." He mumbled as he typed that into his phone which was connected to, FACEBOOK, as he let the whole world know. Today proved to be much of a better day as on arrival, the equation of   QUEUE + TIME = MORE QUEUE AND NO TICKETS   has been removed and replaced with   QUEUE+TIME = YOU GET YOUR TICKETS. Great start. He also met someone he was longing to see and finally got his wish granted!

He also managed to make it up on stage for a random shot. He became a storyteller for a short 2 minutes and told a mesmerizing story of a cat, a dog, and...a Gatling Gun.

Yes that story. =)
All in all, DAY 2 was a great improvement and turned out to be an awesome day!

Adventure! Comic Fiesta 2011 (Part 1)

A new adventure for the adventurer! This time, in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre(or KLCC for short)! The event? COMIC FIESTA 2011. For those of you who are new to this event, it is actually an Anime, Comics, Games Convention. It's been ongoing for 10 long years since 2001 and this year marked it's 10th anniversary! This also marked the year that, I, Vincent, Yours Truly, finally joined the cosplay scene! Finally accomplishing my dream. Now less me and more on the event.

Day 1- The adventurer(yours truly) left as early as 6am to get, breakfast. The meal that made up his day. Like they say(or maybe he himself), "A day is not complete without breakfast." He made his way to KLCC and arrived at 8am. Lucky him, the queue was only beginning to start. What shocked him was, after that queue to enter Hall 4 which was the ticketing hall, there was another queue! So it turned out he queued in a queue that was a queue to get into another queue (Whaaaaa? Confused? So am I). Finally after the many queues and such, the adventurer was lucky due to his pre-ordered tickets! He made quick progress and soon had his goody bag!

A notebook, a bar of chocolate, mints, two days tickets, poster and a magazine that I can't read.

The main thing: MY two days ticks!
Yesirrreee! The adventurer had his hands on his first haul of goodies! A notebook, a bar of chocolate, mints, poster, aaannnndd a magazine he can't read. Why? Cause the adventurer is what you may call a, half banana? (YES, I CAN'T READ MANDARIN. Problem?) And soon he was well on his way for DAY 1. Met some fellow friends, took some pictures and his day ended with not much of an enthusiastic applause. Pictures!

Right! There you are, the adventurer(yours truly) in his cosplay as Akaito from Vocaloids. =)
Part 2 - Day 2 coming right up!

My Past Week at JOHOR! (Part 2)

Welcome back to Part2 of my Johor adventure! A short recap of what I did in Part 1.
------ Well, I was once a normal kid with a normal life, until I took an arrow in the knee. Now, I enjoy adventures, and where the winds brings me. A gentle drift brought me to the lands of boats and really close to the Island of Kiasu-ness, the State of Johor. There, I rode a majestic horse I named Bartholomew(BMW). At this new foreign land, I visited their main town, City Square and ate a new kind of food. Then visited the Bay Area for another splendid dinner. A magical restaurant that served food on rotating belts! -GASPED- (What witchcraft is this!??) And so, continues my story......------

The remaining days, three to be exact, were days of mixed feelings. I felt sad to be leaving this new land, yet there was, a whole new adventure waiting me back where I came from. COMIC FIESTA. I spent the last few days at the apartment where I stayed. Went for a walk in Jusco Aeon. Imagine what wonders I found!!!

As I passed carts upon carts of trader goods, I happened across, an angry confectionery!

It served as a dessert and also a weapon. But RM55 sure is a hard hit on my wallet. Maybe next time. I could use this as a weapon anytime!

As I walked on the music and songs playing, brings a melancholic yet happy tune to my heart. In this foreign land, I am reminded of....Christmas. I don't celebrate it but, there is no stopping me to remember the year before and soon about to end. (reminded cruelly of his own age)

YES. gingerbread-men.  I don't wanna grow up so fast! NUUUUU
I wanna be a kid. Munch gingerbread-men without a care of the world.

And here ends my journey as I return to KL. My Land of Car Honks and Jams. Comic Fiesta, you're up next!

Cheers~
Vincent

My Past Week at JOHOR! (Part 1)

Yes! Another adventure, another new experience. Plenty of new experience! This time it was the state of Johor, bordering close to Singapore. Why there of all places? Well, it's because my dad got posted outstation and yes to Johor. Therefore, as a son, I SHALL VISIT HIM! And visit him I did. =)

Day 1- Left for Johor at 9am after breakfast. No energy, no concentration to drive. Yes. I drove. A BMW all the way to Johor. A 3 hour long journey from Kajang to Johor. The speedometer was constantly at 150km/h. Was a thrill drive. Had lunch and rested for the day. Wasn't much of a first day, had dinner later on and watched Anaconda on TV. Celebrated dad's birthday!!! Realized he was getting old...-sigh-

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

Day 2- Today, the adventure began! Visited Johor's City Square, located in Pusat Bandaraya. My god that place was crowded. Had a portugese lunch and walked around. Reminded me a lot of Times Square in KL. Dinner was Bak Kut Teh. For most of you, that's pork stewed soup.

The Meal

FISH!

Hawaiian Fried Rice!

Finished in less than 10 minutes.
Day 3 and Day 4- Both days was almost the same. Except that on day 4, I finally managed to visit DANGA BAY! Had an awesome steamboat buffet dinner. Totally indescribable. The food was great, atmosphere was nice, service was good! What can a diner ask for more? =) The place: Asiana. A restaurant that implemented Sushi King's Kaiten Belt technique. The food was all served on the moving belt. I had half a mind to serve myself on the belt.(What?? I'm edible! Kidding kidding)

The KAITEN BELT!

Ice CREAM!! WE SCREAM FOR ICE SCREAM!!!
Food was really awesome. Had my fill till belly bursting. Then, we had a peaceful stroll by the jetty. Boats everywhere!

And so ends PART 1 of my JOHOR adventure. Sorry for the crappy English.

Cheers~
