Another period, come and gone

*yawwnnn* SOOOOO, what day is it today? Oh, Sunday? What time is it...? 12.15p.m.? WHOA!!! I overslept! (*cough* forgive the direct Pokemon game pun) but yeah, that's what it felt like coming back to my blog...after over a month. I am seriously, one of the....more lazy bloggers out there. Hey, can't blame me, I do what I like, when I like, how I like, where I like, and...you can't stop me. HA! Take that.

Anyways, another period has passed and no, I am not referring to the natural discharge of blood that happens every month to a certain gender when the time comes every month. Then there's the irony here where I just came back after a month...Don't get it? Go figure.

In another month or so, it'll be the time of our lives. I'm sure most of you people out there are anticipating this. A day of gifts and presents and plentiful good food (provided we don't get killed by meteorites as the Mayans would love to see). Yeaaahhhh, good food. Food, is that all I can think of? Yeah..pretty much right now. Like a wise stomach once said, "Food is the joy of life". I agree WHOLE-HEARTEDLY on this. But like any other human beings, yeah, I also have wants and needs.... Can't blame me for being human. SOOO, as a normal human being, I have a wishlist. (not that I'm hoping I get everything on it...or even getting any of it...so yeah, just having it for the fun of it)

WISHLIST (My wants, maybe a bit of needs)

1. New Headphones (My old ones, the sponge padding is coming off)
2. New case for meh iPad (it's an old iPad1 and the cover is falling apart...so yeah...)
3. New portable hard disk (for me to store all my por- I mean, work stuff)
4. New shoes (I've been wearing mine for over a year and, it's pretty much falling apart and soaking in water when it rains.)
5. Nerf Elite Retaliator (just because I want to shoot people without causing bodily harm)
6. New phone (mine is pretty much dying a natural death)
7. 300 bucks into my account so I can buy what I want.
8. Peace on Earth (cause I'm caring like that)
9. Good health to everyone (cause...I ran out of ideas)
10. OH and how can I ever forget TURKEY! (I've..only tasted turkey once..so yeah)

That's...pretty much it(for now).

And, till next time then!
Cheers~

356 days or more, or less in the World of COSPLAY

Hello everyone and everybody. Hopefully the world is doing well, and Mother Earth is..doing fine. But anyways, hope all is well. So, I'm back again with a new post.

A year ago, or maybe slightly more (I can't really remember, blame my poor memory), I joined the Cosplay world. Yes, I am a cosplayer. Little did I know, a year has already passed since that day. And so today, here I am with a little something of something. And that something would be cosplay (obviously -_-).

I've learnt plenty of things during my time cosplaying. I've also met a number of people during that period. Some were friends for the moment, and some other for longer period. Then there were those whom were friends for life. The journey so far was indeed, a great ride, bumpy and full of road blocks and potholes but nevertheless, a joy.

I remember the first time dressing up, putting on a wig, and contact lenses. How nervous I was of walking out of the changing room. How awkwardly I posed when taking photographs. How nervous I was to pose with other people.

What was most important to me though , is the values that I learnt from the cosplay world. Although many of the older generation think that cosplay is a waste of time, money and energy. It is not necessarily so. There are a lot of of things that I have gained and still many more to come. Here is what cosplay means to me.

It is not just that 7 things that cosplay taught me. There are plenty others such as responsibility, confidence, love, achievement, courage, originality, social, skills, and much much more.

All in all, it was a great year, and hope for a greater one to come. =)

I Cosplay To Express, Not Impress.

Cheers~

Having some Fun with Bamboo

Hey hey hey hey everybody, and yes, I'm back with a new post. First off, I give up trying to post regularly cause, it's just not gonna work. I'm a lazy guy that's for sure. But anyway, here goes!

So lately, I've gotten myself a tablet. Yeah, it's for fever and cough, works well if I- eh? Wait a minute, I'm talking about the wrong tablet. Pardon me, So lately, I've just gotten myself a tablet (sorry  I have to repeat myself again), and yeah, err...I got myself a new tablet! =D
(Obviously, I don't know what to talk about it)

THE AWESOME BAMBOO FUN PEN AND TOUCH

So, erm, let's see, it's a Wacom Bamboo, Bamboo Fun Pen and Touch actually. It's sleek thin and pretty and all. It's really light sorta like paper except, it's not paper. It weighs like 640gm, but really, you don't feel it at all. It comes in Black and Lime Green, although that doesn't really bother me much, the color is cool.

The tablet in all it's glory

It's the same size as a 14inch screen laptop, which is good, cause I love some extra space to doodle and move my hands. It also comes with 4 shortcut buttons/keys which you can set to your own convenience.

And that's about it for me I guess, and I can't wait to start doodling and whipping out artworks!

=DDD
Cheers all~

Lazy meh is...Lazy

Hello again aaaaaaaaaannnnddddd, yes, it took me awhile to come up with another new post. Well actually, I kinda forgot I even had a blog till I saw some link on my Facebook. Yeah, must be the age catching up to me *cough* (I'm just 19). Sometimes, I get this sudden urge to post something, and just put it off till the next day...yeah I'm gonna blame Mr. Procrastination. Yes...you. Mr. Procrastination. You're to blame.

Wait....what?  Yeah, even I don't make sense to myself. Just another one of those random posts I guess. Maybe not? And the title? No idea really, it just sounded really good. Yeah, and before I forget....wait....

What was I gonna post again?

Think
Think...

Almost giving up....
BOOYAH!!!
ANDDDD, I remember. Right, so earlier this month, or more like end of last month, there was an event held at Sunway Pyramid Convention Center. It was ANIMANGAKI 2012. Well, the event was quite fun despite me being able to attend only on the 2nd day.

It was held on the 25th and 26th of August 2012. There were cosplayers, cosplayers everywhere! All in all, the event gave friends a chance to meet up for a short period, fans to drool at awesome costumes, admire super fragile awesome props and the merchandises and activities available at the event. It was also a chance for people to whip out their camera and start snapping crazy shots and do some one on one photography session. Anyway, enough talking and more pictures eh? Like they say pictures, or it never happened.

And here you go people, some of the stuff on display =D

And here, you have, the cosplayers!

And then, I'm not one to miss out but yeah, I did cosplay too =)

Hope to post more stuff up in the future.
And yes, I'm a lazy person, so, lazy me is..lazy.

Past celebration!

So it's been a month since my last update. Yes, it's not the first time, and my determination to post more frequently is just like the general public making new years resolutions. They never seem to last. Sure, maybe two to three days, at best, a week or so. And the next thing you know, you completely forget about it.

So anyway, the past 31st August, was Malaysia's independence day. The country I call home. So yeah, a brief shout out to Malaysia, "HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!" and with that done, part 1 of this post has concluded.

What? You thought I was gonna talk about independence and how we fought for our peace and shi- stuff? Nah, there's this little friendly thing called, Google or Wikipedia too for you to read up on it. That's as patriotic as I can get cause I am not one who's really interested to talk about something that happened WAAAAYYYYY before I was conceived.

What I'm more interested to share today would be..a celebration. A celebration for what? Coincidentally, a one very known idol's birthday falls on that exact same date, and that said idol would be...HATSUNE MIKU!

Yes Miku-chan, it's your birthday.
So, the pre-celebration report first. I met up with a group of friends at MidValley to catch a movie. Sadako 3D to be exact. Long story short, that movie was a total joke and I bet me and my group of friends were the worst audience in the cinema. We were laughing at how unreal and comical they made the movie. The movie was a mix of a girl with "Supersonic" voice powers capable of killing cricket like ghosts and the main ghost, was a really cute girl that.. till now I can't seem to understand why she had to die. Oh, and lots and lots of hair.

After the movie, we were all tearing the movie apart, going through bits and pieces of the whole show. Then we headed to Carl's Junior for some om nom nom. It was pretty great and quite a number of people attended the highlight of the event, Miku's celebration.

Yes yes Miku-chan! A celebration for you!
And so like most birthday celebration, we had cake we had food, we didn't really have booze, and we had laughs!

Thanks to Sakura a.k.a. Syazana for the CAKEY!! And look at the Mikus celebrating around the cake!
We had some fun figuring whether or not to sing a birthday song out in public while holding the nendoroids at the risk of looking like nendo worshipping otakus. But then common sense won out and we just cut the cake.

Choco Miku on a cake!
Lero doing the honor of slicing the cake.

Jerry and his cake

Jerry and...his cake again!

Reigan gobbling up the cake like..a boss!

And Megat with his ultimate blessed face!

Aozora happily accepting her cake
Jhan..finishing his cake like..lightning fast

Me nomming my portion of the cake!

Sakura a.k.a Syazana nomming HER CAKE!

And...D'AAWWWWW the complimentary feeding pict!
So yeah, it was a great day, great time spent and back to reality of college and assignment rushing. You guys were the best! =D We should do this more often =)

The gang and the cake before it was mutilated.
Till next post! (Only God knows when I'll even be posting   -___-)

Cheers all!

P.S: Why for some reason...this head reminds me of.. Mami from Puella Magi Madoka Magica?
Just saying~

Modelling?? Really now?

So yeah, for those of you readers who have been reading or checking on my blog frequently, THANK YOU SO MUCH! *bows and wipes the manly tears*
I'm touched. No, really, I AM touched, with no hint of sarcasm, not one single bit. As I've mentioned in  my earlier post, I'll be posting some progress on my 3D modelling of the Blade Liger Mirage(ZOIDS).

Here goes =D

How I started off. By emulating the skull of a dog. The main form before  messing the polygon lines.
SO, HOW TO BEGIN!? The question that was screwing up my mind. Luckily for me, I thought of a dog's skull. And that gave me the idea to begin/start off the main form(have to thank one "Bubbles" belonging to a someone). Before I mess with the polygon lines and edges/vertices/face and then, lo and behold the outcome of the head.
And here you have the head, with whiskers. Well, it still has yet to go into perfection messing. SOON...SOON!!!
And once I was done with the head, I went on to the body.

Somehow, it resembled a rocket/cannon/blaster
That's the body..yeah, nothing special bout it yet. And moving on~

Foreleg, with no armor on, YET.
Yes, that's the foreleg. without armor on it yet. But soon..SOON!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH- *cough cough* *hack* *wheeeeezzzzeee* Dang, can't even laugh right. -_-

So yeah, that's all I've got for you readers this round.
Stay tuned yo!

Cheers~

Of kits, and models. Model Kits

*knock knock*
Who's there?
*silence*
Must be one of them kids playing with my knocker again.

Yeap, lame start, but like "they"(maybe just me) say, Lame is the new Cool. So yeah, howdy everything and everyone. Been nothing short of busy lately, what with the submission dates for assignments looming closer like the jaws of a fiery dragon about to swallow it's helpless prey. Truth be told, haven't really had much progression on my assignments.

Ended up getting some reference material for my 3D assignment. Surprised me, myself and I though, that I actually went to this extent to get reference. Not getting a clue to what I'm saying eh? Here's a picture.

Yeap, hello there baby
So, a picture of my current project. Just bought this model kit for my 3D modelling. Reason being?
None.

Juuuusstttt kidding. Reason being, I'm a meticulous person. I need to actually feel and see the thing that I'm modelling so I can actually make it perfect. Yeah, and that pretty much summed...this up?

Scale 1/72, Highend Kit, Blade Liger Mirage, Kotobukiya

The CEREMONIAL un-boxing of the model

It was all good and all, hugging, carrying, lugging the huge box back home via KTM. Dear God, the KTM commuter system, could have been the death of me. The jammed packed-ness and all. The box was no tiny BANDAI HighGrade size yo! But this is still better than the size of a BANDAI PerfectGrade box. THOSE ARE LONG AS THEY ARE HUGE. GOD, bless me.

Right, topic derailed *slaps self*. Where was I? Oh, being happy and all.
Right, so I was happily dragging my haul back home. Taking some memorial pictures of it. Admiring the cover, the art, even...the box itself (Yes, the BOX. You heard me right). Then, the CEREMONIAL un-boxing of the kit.

The change of look on my face was...quite comical to my dear sister. From the happy smiling, grinning look that abruptly transformed to "OH GOD WHY? THIS CANNOT BE HOLY MACARONI PIZZA SHIZZNITS HAPPENING!" face...You get the picture. Here's a simpler picture.

When I saw this,

Oh god...THE NUMBER OF RUNNERS, THE PARTS!
My face turned from this

That HAPPY FACE

To this

To the OH GOD WHY....NUUUUU FACE
And why is this? Cause I got less than a week to complete both the 3D and the model. I guess...good luck and all the best to myself is needed.... I'm gonna really need it. Truck loads of it.

Been almost a year since I last touched Model Kits. Time to dig out the old weaponry, the ancient tools and whatnots to battle this kit. Hope my skills are still....there.

Anyway, will be posting some progress here and there... o_o

Cheers,
Vincent
