Another space

It's been almost a year since my last post. A lot has happened with me during this long period of absence. Wondering where should I begin really. I guess I'll just start with whatever is at the top my head now.

First up, changed a new bike, and officially this bike stayed with me longer than the rest. Seems like I've found THE ONE. Next up, I'm single. Again. Actually since the start of 2017. It's a complicated story. Next, I've officially been in the workforce for over a year (Achievement unlocked guys?). Next, I signed up for a half marathon coming up in November (Another soon to be achievement unlock?). Next, I'm taking up swimming class (to swim with proper form). My cycling coach is trying to get me into Duathlons and Triathlons. Not sure how I feel about it so far, seems like an exciting prospect, that is, if I can actually correct my form instead of confusing my arms and going "blub blub blub" underwater.

So, let's see. Since I've talked about a new bike on my last post, I'll leave the bike post for later. I guess it's time for me to pour out my thoughts again in this blog (thankful that, there's rarely anyone who still checks up on here).

Well, here goes. I met her during my last semester in Swinburne Sarawak, Kuching. We met through cycling actually, and it quickly turned into something special for me. I knew it when I felt it that, she was someone I'll want in my life. We actually met each other's parents and I can tell my parents liked her from the moment they met her. But over time, I guess how I faced my problems, anger, and feelings by keeping to myself made her feel....unwanted? Which slowly caused problems for the both of us. When she finally voiced out her decision one year and 3 months into the relationship, I admit, I had a hard time accepting the fact that she gave up on the relationship.

She wanted to find herself again. As hard as it was for me, I respected her decision and agreed to what she wanted, despite what I felt. I know now, 9 months down the road, how stupid I was. A little info on my side on why I did it then, it's because I'm not the kind to beg, or force someone to stay when they already have the thought to leave. It's just how I am, though thinking back about it, I'm not sure about myself.

As time passed, I focused on my job, and she, who just graduated was aiming to land a job in Singapore. We did agree to try and stay friends, if that was even possible. The last time we saw each other, I wasn't expecting to see her for a long long while as we went on our separate ways. Then, after a few weeks of on and off contact, she dropped me a message that she got a job, which wasn't close to me but it was still within driving distance, a 20 minute drive in fact. I was happy for her, but unsure of what to feel myself. Not sure if this was a sign to try harder, or I'm just looking too deep into it.

On and off we kept in touch and even met up once in a while ever since she came over to the west side of Malaysia. 9 months down the road, she has helped me with my scripts and announcements, cause she's that good with mandarin and I'm a banana, which was for my emceeing role in my job (a story for another post).

Deep down, at this point, the truth is, I just want another chance to do it right. Just one more chance to make it right. But from myself, I can't tell what's going through her mind. I wished I knew, or at least....there's some signs that at least that little chance exist.
I just want to hold your hands again. Be there for you, to see that smile again, and to go through everyday together with you, if that is possible in any small chance. I'm restless chasing the last words you said, wishing I could repair what happened between us.

And so, here we are.
That's why it's complicated to me right now.

I'll just leave this here and till the next post...whenever that is.

Signing out.

Throwback to that first race

Life after graduation is kinda dull. I need to get a job.

That said, I had a sentimental recollection of my first race back in May 2015. I was still in Kuching at that time and so I thought, why not? Registered with some club mates from uni and I was in. We didn't really trained much before the race. In fact, we never trained. We were so inexperienced then. Two days before the race, we did a route recon and that was it.

The event I am talking about is ABC Race that was organized by a "Koperasi Al-Bait". It covers a distance of 120km. The day of the race, it was raining and the roads was wet but that didn't stop us from going ahead with the race.

Look at our inexperienced self then. Except for Mark. The one on the left in 3T.
So yeah, at the starting line, there we were in our sports shoes and platform pedals and a good 70% of them were using clipless pedals. You know things are getting serious when over half the playing field goes "clack clack clack". Me and the guy beside me on platform pedals just stared at each other and had this "oh shit" look on our face.

It was a good race experience for us and yeah, I've come a long way since then. I recently just registered for another event in Perak. The Perak Century Ride. So I hope I'll be better in that event....since it covers 160km.

Cheers.

Something new

It's time for a routine dust off. Been a long time since my last post and a lot has happened. To whoever still drops by occasionally, sorry you guys are stuck with so little updates. Too many things going on, and I'll just try to summarise the happenings that came about this past few months.

As you guys may know, from my previous posts, I'm currently undergoing my studies at Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus. That's in Kuching, nice place really. Been here for a little over six weeks already, and I must say I've pretty much settled into the living style here. Being away from home doesn't really bother me, still miss home cooking occasionally, but everything is going well. The classes were a little mix of old and new, learning some new stuff while brushing up on skills I learnt whilst in diploma. It's a great experience here as I get the chance to mix with a lot of international students and learn more about their country and culture, as a matter of fact, because of the diverse student culture, Swinburne organizes a cultural night event every year where students perform their cultural specialties or just take the chance to perform. I was lucky my enrolment was timed just right as I got to experience this event.

So far, I've already passed the middle mark of the semester and ended my mid term break(JUST today actually). The first half went well I would say and then it's onwards to another 6 weeks and I'll end my Semester 2 Year 2. Recently, actually just a week ago, I acquired a bicycle.

700c Nexus Hybrid Bike
I got a bike for a few reasons, transport being one of the few reasons, and recreation being another. Why a hybrid bike? Because mainly, I'll only be using it for road and minimal off road. This bike can handle gravel as well as "kampung" roads no issue. It's a great bike, even though I only managed to take it out for a spin no more than 5 times. Pretty sad, huh? Why? Cause foolhardy me went and attempted a ramp take-off.

Like I said in the title, "Something new", and by that, I meant, loads of new experiences. This was, as painful as it was, something new to me, as well as exciting. Back 4 years, while I was still in high school, I used to do a lot of "little" stunts with my then MTB(Mountain Bike). It wasn't a really high end model but at RM450, it was a pretty damn good bike with full suspension and toughness to take a beating. Which in the end got stolen by some scumbag, whoever it was, hope it serves him well like it did for me(posted about this ages back).

So, I went on a cycling session with the Swinburne Cycling Club and they brought us to a dirt trail to have some fun. A little too much fun for me I guess, when I decided to do the ramp take-off. I borrowed one of the cycling member's MTB cause my hybrid for sure wouldn't be able to pull off the stunt. Went for it but close to the ramp, I faltered and braked, causing me to lose momentum. Which ended with me plunging down the ramp rather than flying off it. The resulting fall cause me to fracture my left collarbone which required a surgery to realign it back as well as a metal plate and 7 screws.

Fractured collarbone, overlapping

Although it was a pretty serious thing, I just felt excited throughout the whole ordeal(okay maybe a little nervous cause...surgery). Everything was a new experience to me and I'm pretty glad I got this chance to experience things like this while I'm still young and capable and able to go the extreme. Don't get me wrong, a broken bone is no fun, but experience on the other hand is, priceless.

I was in really good spirits throughout the ordeal, dad even flew down to make sure I was alright(feeling guilty about this). But we got to spend some quality time together. I also thought I was gonna be lectured, but then, they just said, they warned me and I had to be responsible for my own decisions, which was my broken bones.

Before the surgery, submitting some assignments (with one hand)
After the surgery
Pretty much in good spirits
I was discharged after three days in the hospital with no signs of complications. Overall, I'd say I had a really eventful mid term break. I have to wear a sling when I walk for the first two weeks after ther surgery but my arms can still function normally for typing and writing. A really good experience for me in my opinion. Now, I'm just making sure I take care of myself and get a speedy recovery and have my bones joined back together.

Today, begins my 2nd half of the semester, and things are bound to get busier. I guess, you guys won't be hearing from me for a while(again). Video of the fall can be watched here. It's kinda funny watching myself. I can even laugh at myself, weird.

Here's to another one of the longest post I've done.

Cheers
Vincent Loke

P.S.: I'm so sorry bike, just wait for me for a while longer alright?

I'll take you out onto the road again. Soon I hope.

21st on the 21st of April

Recently, I celebrated my 21st birthday. Welcome Adulthood. It was the usual wishes, cake, and same old day. There was one thing that really made it special though. This marks the 2nd year I'm celebrating my birthday with my dearest girlfriend. That's special enough for my birthday celebration. Literally having her with me is special enough to make my day, that was why I told her not to get me anything for my birthday. Little did I know she went ahead and got me one.

"Hey, I got you something for your birthday." she told me.
"Oh, I thought I told you not to." I said, "Just you being with me is good enough" :I
"B-but, it's handmade!" she says
"O-oh. Okay then..." I smiled
*Passes me a box which I open*

"I-it's a scarf." I said.
"Y-yeah, cause you said you were going to further your studies overseas," she said, "Didnt know it wouldn't happen."
"I-I'd still be going...only a year later, hopefully." I said.
"S-so, do you like it?" she asks.
*Tries it on*
" It's..comfy," I said, "Thanks dear" =)
(>///w////<) (<<<< that was her reaction, blushing)

The scarf she made

I really appreciate her effort in making this for me as well as her being thoughtful. If you're reading this, dear, I really really love you. Thank you for putting up with me this long. The things we've been through together and the memories we've made, and that we're still together. =)

Thank you for everything and my birthday wish? I can't tell you that. It might make it lose it's effect.

P.s: I-It's not l-like I reallllyyy treasure it o-or anything   >////A////<

One Four Four Two O One Four

Time really flies. Even more so when you actually sit down and think about it. A year and a half back, I was still a college student going about life as a college student(duh) and enjoying my hobbies. Spent certain weekends going to ACG events and cosplaying.

Fast forward 613 days(more or less). I've been through small arguments, little disagreements, periods of cold silence. There were happy times too, laughing together times, enjoying each other's company. In that period of time, I graduated from college with a diploma, she graduated from foundation and moved on to a degree course. Six hundred and thirteen days more or less in rough calculations, we've been together. She regularly puts up with my temper issues, my jealousy bouts, my weird moments.

Yeap, she's the one I'm talking about. She's petite, but she doesn't let that stop her. She's just as strong willed as anyone. Enough to put up with my antics at times. I am truly happy to have her by my side.

Ps: Love you

Valentine's 2014. Operation Success~

Finally an update from me again! Yay! Doubt anyone actually still checks up on my blog. But I'll just greet..uh..the imaginary..readers..that I think I have. Recently two events just passed. What are they? Chinese New Year and Valentine's!

Aside from the, uh, small amount and continuously lessening amount of the Ang Pau or red packet, this year's Valentine's also falls on the 15th day of Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year. The Lunar New Year usually lasts for about 15 days cause that's when the new moon comes up or something like that. The 15th day of the Lunar New Year is known as Chap Goh Mei. As a tradition people would write messages or put down their contact details on a mandarin orange and throw them into a river or sea and let the waters deliver the oranges to any destination and if luck is on their side, someone would pick it up and contacts them. It's kinda like a traditional dating thingy, where the single guys hope a girls contacts them and vice versa.

Okaaayyyy, so 15th day of Lunar New Year or Chap Goh Mei is also known as Chinese Valentine's. If...I'm not mistaken. I think. I hope. ( <--- Embarrassment to my ancestors) So yeah, this year's 14th of February which is Valentine's Day also  falls on the 15th of the Lunar New Year.

                                                   DOUBLE VALENTINE'S!!!

Yup, you can ignore the bold thingy. So I celebrated Valentine's with my dearest. We watched a movie, The Lego Movie. It was funny and... Everything. Is. Awesome. Totally. Awesome. Then we both headed over to Food Foundry. It's famous for it's Mille Crepe Cakes. Then we headed back to my girlfriend's house. No...not for sex.

Le two of us together at Food Foundry =D
I made a gift for her. (And also totally messed up my kitchen as well)

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries for my dearest <3
I was actually planning it to be like a dozen roses but meh, better luck next time. Glad she liked it though =) Then we had a little project with her wall.

She's so darn adorableeeeee ~

Made a heart on the wall with a bunch of post it notes. Was initially planning on just taking pictures in the heart and out of it with my girlfriend but then an idea came and I decided to write stuff on half of the hearts and she did the same. Wrote some stuff about us, our relationship and stuff.

My words on the post its.

Hers <3

Yeap, that's how it went for my Valentines =)
Even though spending everyday like it's Valentine's, you just have to up the game and do something extraordinarily special for a special occasion, even more so when your partner is extraordinary. Cause to accept being with me, that takes a lot of guts and uh...extraordinary stuff. =P

Till next time I guess~
Vince

P.s: She's so so cute isn't she?

My love. <3

365 days(or so), from that day.

Hey! New post update. Today's date, was a special date for me. It was a year ago on this date, June 10th, that I met someone who changed me little or more, into a different person.

It was this date, about a year ago. I was attending AFA MY as a cosplayer. It was also this day that brought on many changes to me. I still remember how it was then.

I spotted her amongst the people at the M.V.P booth. She was cosplaying as Senbonzakura Miku, and I as Akaito default. We didn't exchange a lot of words, just a simple "May I take a photo of you?" and "Thank You." Little did I know, that this meeting would bring about a whole new change to my life. We started talking a few days later. It was nice and enjoyable talking with her, with her little smiles and reaction to my random hyper acts. Then there was movie night, where we watched a movie together via webcam. I remember...it was Pokemon Jirachi the Wish Maker.

We had an outing together, and then there was Bon Odori. Walking around and dancing with her in the crowd, that was a different experience for me. Then August came, and that was when I asked her to be my girlfriend. We have had our ups and downs, happy times, down times. Then came prom. The night where everyone was dressed up splendidly and in their best. Cosplaying together at Comic Fiesta as a group and with a partner, was also a new experience for me with her.

Now almost a year has passed since our meeting. I still feel the same as the day I asked you to be my girlfriend. I love you dear.

Not dead...yet

Wow. Been like two months since I last posted? I think. Can't even keep track of that anymore. First off, college. Tough semester. Portfolio exhibition and whatnot. Stuck doing work for my portfolio. Doesn't help that I have to head to college for a simple consultation and that's it. I spend one and a half hour travelling to college, for a consultation that's like one hour or so and then head back. Feels like wasted time and money. This semester...has got to end. Here's a part of my work. It was for Gatsby. No not the movie Gatsby.

Part of my portfolio. Tadaaaaaa~

That's that. Oh! I went to Legoland. It was....nostalgic. All my childhood memories.

Must. Resist. Temptation. To. Squeal.
*SQUEALLLLLLSSSSSS*
Oh my childhood. I still remember building stuff from blocks. Pretending to be some medieval soldier, dragon rider, underwater explorer, race car driver, space cadet....you name it. Lego was a big part of my childhood. All those lovely memories that I was once innocent (not that I'm not now). Truly a worth it trip. More on Legoland soon =)

Cheers~

Of exams and holidays

So, it's been a month. As usual. Procrastination.

How's everyone I wonder? Life for me is pretty much the same. Ending my semester soon and currently facing the final papers of this semester's subjects. Just when I thought I'm done with history and such from highschool and SPM (that's Sijil Pengajian Malaysia. Like somekind of final paper to test your knowledge of highschool life. For people who have no idea). Worst still, they even scaled it down to just Malaysian history. I mean, it wouldn't be so bad if it was about the world. War, World War, why this country hated that country, why this country invaded that country. Those kinds of things would've made history a little more interesting no? With the blood and gore and bombs and decapitated bodie- *cough* I mean the carnage and disaster and how the world rebuilt itself. That's real education. I'mma..stone. *turns to rock*

Sigh...Can't complain much anymore now. Just took my Marketing Principles paper today, and..I don't have high hopes. At the most B+?    >__< Sorry mom. Next is Moral and History..Malaysian History. With that done, I'll be free on holiday! Semester break and I get two weeks off. Time to catch up on sleep and enjoying myself lazing about. Speaking of which, holidays.

My dearest girlfriend went to Australia for her holiday. For a week. For...one...whole week. One whole long week. Seven days. 168 hours.
.___. Yes. I miss her. A lot.
But with exams on my mind, I can't think about her much, except when I do..GAAAHHHH I MISS HER QAQ

Before she left, she left me one of her sweater. Her favorite sweater so I can hug it if I miss her too much. *hugs sweater* IT'S JUST NOT THE SAMMMMEEEE Q_Q
She said cause I gave her mine, she thought I should have one of hers. I don't mind really except for the fact it won't fit but mine can...fit her I mean. Speaking of which, this was awhile back but her mom actually bought a sweater for me.

The grey one. It's comfy too.
So, her mom had this idea to get me and my girlfriend matching sweaters. Matching red sweaters mind you. But then, since I already had a red one, my girlfriend told her mom that, and so she got a red one and I got a grey one. =I
So much for matching though I can't complain much cause it's a gift and it's very comfortable too! Definitely going into the list of my favorite sweaters. There's four of them in my list so far, and that's because, I only have four not including this. =D So I love them all comfy sweaters! Thanks again aunty! Thanks so so so much!

And another picture on sweater
They look...kinda matching despite the color o_o
Ignore the messy bed, the black and grey one. That's my girlfriend's. =)
Anyway, come back safely and swiftly to me Q____Q I miss you lots.

Cheers!
Stay tuned for more...I hope

Of Valentine's and..Valentine's~

*Wonders if anyone still reads this blog*
Anyway, for politeness sake, hello everybody! Back again with a new post. As the title suggests, on Valentine's.

What is Valentine's...that's an age old question. With how the masses think and get manipulated, it's safe to say, most think of it as a special day where couples get together, where the boy confesses to his heartache, where the girl gives chocolates AND confesses to her own heartache. But anyway, on a more general term, it's a day for loved ones. Definition? Family, close friends, and...more friends and family! That's how it is. For me. That is. I mean. That's how it is for me. There, that sounds so much better. =D

So anyway, enough of theory crap. I shall be the mass for today and follow the herd. This shall be, a post for that one person. You know who you are. =)

I used to say like but, now I love her because of one of many reason. (The list will be long so..I'll just post beeeeeeg main ones)

- She is there for me, whenever I feel down
- She is cares and worries for me a lot. (Sometimes a bit more than a lot, but I know for the right reasons)
- She would do what is important to keep this relationship going. (As will I)
- She bakes me cookies.( What? They're super awesome!)
- She knows when I'm not myself, and tries to cheer me up.
- She would hold my hands close and tight, as if afraid of losing me.
- She would surprise me with her random thoughts sometimes.
- She would caress my cheeks gently and hold me close.
- She doesn't mind my weirdness at all.
- She shares her problems and worries with me so we can get through it together.
- She accepts me for what, who, how I am.
- She..would be shy but it's cute to look at and when she messes around with me (or try to) in a good way, her effort makes her cute, and I can't help but play along.

And much much much much more. But wait...it all sounds...too perfect. What are likes, without dislikes? I have..some things that I've spoken to her about and yes, it's just that few things, that we solved together but well here goes.

- She lives..quite far away. About an hours plus journey, yet it's not much of a problem.
- She is too shy sometimes, even when it's just her and me.
- She unknowingly flirts/overly-friendly/uses her charms on other guys. (YES. I'm a guy. I get jealous too =I )
- She doesn't give me cookies much. (WHAT!?  D=  Like I said, it's awesomeeeee)

>__< Yeah that's about it on my part. But mainly what makes me love her, what makes me find it worthwhile, what makes me cherish this relationship is because of this.

Yes. It's that smile of hers. It's heartwarming.
When she smiles, it makes me feel like, everything is fine. It just makes me smile along. She knows this but I can tell when she forces it. =)

So dear, talk to me when you have a problem. You promised. So we can get it over with together. =)

Cheers all~  =)

18th Year Achievement, Unlocked!

This is probably the most times I've ever posted in a month. Maybe, really I never keep count. But oh! Hi there everyone! So I'm back again. Must be funny seeing me back again so fast. Don't worry, I find myself weird too at times. But anyway, I have made a very nice discovery few days back. This discovery relates to one of bloggers function called schedule. It's...SO AWESOME! (Practically 'jakun-ning' right now as I type this out). Yeah, maybe it's been there for quite awhile. I never bothered to find out, or use it, till now. So yeah, this is a scheduled post. Meaning, I typed this and set a time and date for it to be posted automatically. Why not manually post? Cause...I don't have internet access where I'm headed for the weekend la!(My Malaysian-ness kicking in). There's a reason for this! I mean...A reason why I chose to post this via schedule.

So, today(the day I scheduled this) is a very important day for someone who recently (not quite recently actually, 6 months from Aug'12 to Jan'13) became a significant person in my life. It marks the day, that my girlfriend accumulated enough EXP(experience points) to level up from 17 to 18! YAY! *slapped*

Yes, that's my dear girlfriend Sarah. =)
Okay, jokes aside. Today she turns 18 and a year of possibilities and happiness to come! I can only say that I'm sorry that I won't be able to be there to celebrate with you due to being stranded in Johor. Although if you don't mind, I can and would be willing to celebrate a belated one with you dear. My dearest Sarah, please use your level points wisely in the skills you may need in life =) *slapped again*

Why the game references? Cause she used to play games =) Just bringing back those happy leveling days, where EXP and Rare Equipment, was a joy.

I got her a present and being the smart*cough* person I am, handed it to her earlier before I departed for Johor. So yeah, I decided to get her a rice art necklace, the one where you can get your name written  on a rice grain, and put it into a tube and made into either a bracelet or necklace. =)

This one =)
Yeah, it was totally worth my money and effort getting this cause, it's one of a kind and you can customize the liquid with any color of your liking, the tube design too, and the rice grain with your name on it, makes it even more special. =)

Closer look on the rice grains =)
It says there, "MUN KAY"
It says there, "VINCENT"
I decided to get one for myself too so we could both be special and matching together =)
Anyway, before I end this post I'mma just say a few lines...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the years go by
As time passes
Life changes
Year by year
You learn
You change
In the blink of an eye
Here you are
At Eighteen
This day of becoming
This day of existence
I share your joy and smiles
As you celebrate your birthday
And it is not the only thing that I will share with you
For as time goes on now
I'll be with you
 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you're with me, it just happens. The smile, the touch, and the gestures

Happy 18th dear, and don't waste your birthday wish when blowing the candle =)

Cheers!

Of Edible...Things

Hello everybody! Yes, I am still alive and kicking, healthy as a horse and back to posting something. So here goes a short take of what I've been doing while my blog was collecting dust from my...abandon-ment. Is that even a word? Oh no, it's not, seeing the red squiggly lines. Oh well, it sounds nice though. *slaps self* Damn, I'm derailing. Back to the topic, so there was college, pretty boring semester this time around. having only three subjects though. Lucky? I...think not. Cause, I am "blessed" with Moral, Pengajian AM (which is Malaysian History), and Marketing Principles.

The first thing the lecturer says when she came in class for Pengajian AM was...

"Class, don't worry. This is NOT a history class! It's more like general knowledge."

Then, she goes off talking about how Malaysia became a country with such diverse culture, it began in the year 1xxx when god-knows-who came here and conquered god-knows-what. How the traders in the year married locals, and came to trade. Then something happened some people stayed some people left for their home country and VOILA! We have Malaysia! (We clapped here, kidding. We were all dozing off already). Marketing Principles is quite an interesting subject and I can bear with Moral. What I can't take is...all of these classes are...memorizing and theory classes. I hate theory. I hate memorizing.

Now, enough of me complaining, to the fun stuff!
Today's post is as the title says, edible things. What kind of edible things? It's...CHOCOLATES! Who doesn't love chocolates eh? So a friend of mine came back from a holiday with a souvenir for me (oh wow, I'm so touched! Really!). Didn't expect her to get me this though. What's wrong with chocolates? No nothing's wrong with them. In fact, I love them...very much. What would shock most people though is because of..this.

Reminds you of some kind of "product" eh?
 And it's contents are even more..special =)

Giving you "ideas" now?
As some of you might have guessed, this is Chocolate Condom. Chocolate Flavored Condom. Condom Shaped Chocolate. Oh you get the meaning. This is...strawberry flavored. Oh and one chocolate flavored.

The Product
The....Product being eaten
Yeap! Totally awesome looking design for a chocolate. The look on my face when I actually got it and admired it.

VERY VERY JAKUN ME

Sometimes, CHOCS are better than Sex *cough*
Even the packaging is convincing
Totally convincing! Some of my friends actually thought I was tricking them into eating a condom. Haha, the thing is REALLY chocolate. Creative design and packaging. =)

THANKS Chriztay!!!! Thanks for the lovely/creative souvenir!

Now, I shall enjoy my chocs. Till next post then people, chiaoooz

Cheers~

356 days or more, or less in the World of COSPLAY

Hello everyone and everybody. Hopefully the world is doing well, and Mother Earth is..doing fine. But anyways, hope all is well. So, I'm back again with a new post.

A year ago, or maybe slightly more (I can't really remember, blame my poor memory), I joined the Cosplay world. Yes, I am a cosplayer. Little did I know, a year has already passed since that day. And so today, here I am with a little something of something. And that something would be cosplay (obviously -_-).

I've learnt plenty of things during my time cosplaying. I've also met a number of people during that period. Some were friends for the moment, and some other for longer period. Then there were those whom were friends for life. The journey so far was indeed, a great ride, bumpy and full of road blocks and potholes but nevertheless, a joy.

I remember the first time dressing up, putting on a wig, and contact lenses. How nervous I was of walking out of the changing room. How awkwardly I posed when taking photographs. How nervous I was to pose with other people.

What was most important to me though , is the values that I learnt from the cosplay world. Although many of the older generation think that cosplay is a waste of time, money and energy. It is not necessarily so. There are a lot of of things that I have gained and still many more to come. Here is what cosplay means to me.

It is not just that 7 things that cosplay taught me. There are plenty others such as responsibility, confidence, love, achievement, courage, originality, social, skills, and much much more.

All in all, it was a great year, and hope for a greater one to come. =)

I Cosplay To Express, Not Impress.

Cheers~

Having some Fun with Bamboo

Hey hey hey hey everybody, and yes, I'm back with a new post. First off, I give up trying to post regularly cause, it's just not gonna work. I'm a lazy guy that's for sure. But anyway, here goes!

So lately, I've gotten myself a tablet. Yeah, it's for fever and cough, works well if I- eh? Wait a minute, I'm talking about the wrong tablet. Pardon me, So lately, I've just gotten myself a tablet (sorry  I have to repeat myself again), and yeah, err...I got myself a new tablet! =D
(Obviously, I don't know what to talk about it)

THE AWESOME BAMBOO FUN PEN AND TOUCH

So, erm, let's see, it's a Wacom Bamboo, Bamboo Fun Pen and Touch actually. It's sleek thin and pretty and all. It's really light sorta like paper except, it's not paper. It weighs like 640gm, but really, you don't feel it at all. It comes in Black and Lime Green, although that doesn't really bother me much, the color is cool.

The tablet in all it's glory

It's the same size as a 14inch screen laptop, which is good, cause I love some extra space to doodle and move my hands. It also comes with 4 shortcut buttons/keys which you can set to your own convenience.

And that's about it for me I guess, and I can't wait to start doodling and whipping out artworks!

=DDD
Cheers all~

Past celebration!

So it's been a month since my last update. Yes, it's not the first time, and my determination to post more frequently is just like the general public making new years resolutions. They never seem to last. Sure, maybe two to three days, at best, a week or so. And the next thing you know, you completely forget about it.

So anyway, the past 31st August, was Malaysia's independence day. The country I call home. So yeah, a brief shout out to Malaysia, "HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!" and with that done, part 1 of this post has concluded.

What? You thought I was gonna talk about independence and how we fought for our peace and shi- stuff? Nah, there's this little friendly thing called, Google or Wikipedia too for you to read up on it. That's as patriotic as I can get cause I am not one who's really interested to talk about something that happened WAAAAYYYYY before I was conceived.

What I'm more interested to share today would be..a celebration. A celebration for what? Coincidentally, a one very known idol's birthday falls on that exact same date, and that said idol would be...HATSUNE MIKU!

Yes Miku-chan, it's your birthday.
So, the pre-celebration report first. I met up with a group of friends at MidValley to catch a movie. Sadako 3D to be exact. Long story short, that movie was a total joke and I bet me and my group of friends were the worst audience in the cinema. We were laughing at how unreal and comical they made the movie. The movie was a mix of a girl with "Supersonic" voice powers capable of killing cricket like ghosts and the main ghost, was a really cute girl that.. till now I can't seem to understand why she had to die. Oh, and lots and lots of hair.

After the movie, we were all tearing the movie apart, going through bits and pieces of the whole show. Then we headed to Carl's Junior for some om nom nom. It was pretty great and quite a number of people attended the highlight of the event, Miku's celebration.

Yes yes Miku-chan! A celebration for you!
And so like most birthday celebration, we had cake we had food, we didn't really have booze, and we had laughs!

Thanks to Sakura a.k.a. Syazana for the CAKEY!! And look at the Mikus celebrating around the cake!
We had some fun figuring whether or not to sing a birthday song out in public while holding the nendoroids at the risk of looking like nendo worshipping otakus. But then common sense won out and we just cut the cake.

Choco Miku on a cake!
Lero doing the honor of slicing the cake.

Jerry and his cake

Jerry and...his cake again!

Reigan gobbling up the cake like..a boss!

And Megat with his ultimate blessed face!

Aozora happily accepting her cake
Jhan..finishing his cake like..lightning fast

Me nomming my portion of the cake!

Sakura a.k.a Syazana nomming HER CAKE!

And...D'AAWWWWW the complimentary feeding pict!
So yeah, it was a great day, great time spent and back to reality of college and assignment rushing. You guys were the best! =D We should do this more often =)

The gang and the cake before it was mutilated.
Till next post! (Only God knows when I'll even be posting   -___-)

Cheers all!
