Life and Nature

Hello to all the unknown and known people out there who still, somehow, sometimes, check up and reads the stuff that I post. I know you're out there. *does the I'm watching you thingy*

Life has been good to me lately, or maybe I'm focusing a lot on the good side. Just went on a company trip to Ulu Yam yesterday for a BBQ picnic. So, where is this..Ulu Yam? Truth be told I have no idea either, except that it's close to Batu Caves. It's one of those nature getaway spots that let's people enjoy nature. Playing in the river, escaping from the cityscape, that sort of thing.

Back to the main topic, BBQ. Yeah, so a bunch of us went all the way there and had a BBQ picnic, and it was awesome. For one, have you ever had a BBQ-on-water? Yes, you heard me right, and it literally means that. BBQ. On. Water. Here let me show you.

While most people are concerned about keeping the charcoal dry and the flames going, we at Linkz Event, try to do things differently. We challenge the two elements to present this, BBQ-On-Water experience. Totally worth it. I met a whole bunch of new people, made friends and ate lots of good stuff prepared by everyone. Yeah, the food selection was kind of a potluck thing, but I'm not complaining. Food was great!

LINKZ FAMILY!
We had an awesome time at Ulu Yam. Even learnt a new thing. Cooking bacon in a tin foil. I must say, it tastes so damn satisfyingly awesome.

Just look at it. Swimming in it's own sweet fat juices. Makes me drool just remembering how good it tasted. *drools*

Anyway, till next time people =)

Cheers,
Vincent

P.S: Compulsory photo if you're at a river.

King of the Rock. Totally.

Valentine's 2014. Operation Success~

Finally an update from me again! Yay! Doubt anyone actually still checks up on my blog. But I'll just greet..uh..the imaginary..readers..that I think I have. Recently two events just passed. What are they? Chinese New Year and Valentine's!

Aside from the, uh, small amount and continuously lessening amount of the Ang Pau or red packet, this year's Valentine's also falls on the 15th day of Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year. The Lunar New Year usually lasts for about 15 days cause that's when the new moon comes up or something like that. The 15th day of the Lunar New Year is known as Chap Goh Mei. As a tradition people would write messages or put down their contact details on a mandarin orange and throw them into a river or sea and let the waters deliver the oranges to any destination and if luck is on their side, someone would pick it up and contacts them. It's kinda like a traditional dating thingy, where the single guys hope a girls contacts them and vice versa.

Okaaayyyy, so 15th day of Lunar New Year or Chap Goh Mei is also known as Chinese Valentine's. If...I'm not mistaken. I think. I hope. ( <--- Embarrassment to my ancestors) So yeah, this year's 14th of February which is Valentine's Day also  falls on the 15th of the Lunar New Year.

                                                   DOUBLE VALENTINE'S!!!

Yup, you can ignore the bold thingy. So I celebrated Valentine's with my dearest. We watched a movie, The Lego Movie. It was funny and... Everything. Is. Awesome. Totally. Awesome. Then we both headed over to Food Foundry. It's famous for it's Mille Crepe Cakes. Then we headed back to my girlfriend's house. No...not for sex.

Le two of us together at Food Foundry =D
I made a gift for her. (And also totally messed up my kitchen as well)

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries for my dearest <3
I was actually planning it to be like a dozen roses but meh, better luck next time. Glad she liked it though =) Then we had a little project with her wall.

She's so darn adorableeeeee ~

Made a heart on the wall with a bunch of post it notes. Was initially planning on just taking pictures in the heart and out of it with my girlfriend but then an idea came and I decided to write stuff on half of the hearts and she did the same. Wrote some stuff about us, our relationship and stuff.

My words on the post its.

Hers <3

Yeap, that's how it went for my Valentines =)
Even though spending everyday like it's Valentine's, you just have to up the game and do something extraordinarily special for a special occasion, even more so when your partner is extraordinary. Cause to accept being with me, that takes a lot of guts and uh...extraordinary stuff. =P

Till next time I guess~
Vince

P.s: She's so so cute isn't she?

My love. <3

Past celebration!

So it's been a month since my last update. Yes, it's not the first time, and my determination to post more frequently is just like the general public making new years resolutions. They never seem to last. Sure, maybe two to three days, at best, a week or so. And the next thing you know, you completely forget about it.

So anyway, the past 31st August, was Malaysia's independence day. The country I call home. So yeah, a brief shout out to Malaysia, "HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!" and with that done, part 1 of this post has concluded.

What? You thought I was gonna talk about independence and how we fought for our peace and shi- stuff? Nah, there's this little friendly thing called, Google or Wikipedia too for you to read up on it. That's as patriotic as I can get cause I am not one who's really interested to talk about something that happened WAAAAYYYYY before I was conceived.

What I'm more interested to share today would be..a celebration. A celebration for what? Coincidentally, a one very known idol's birthday falls on that exact same date, and that said idol would be...HATSUNE MIKU!

Yes Miku-chan, it's your birthday.
So, the pre-celebration report first. I met up with a group of friends at MidValley to catch a movie. Sadako 3D to be exact. Long story short, that movie was a total joke and I bet me and my group of friends were the worst audience in the cinema. We were laughing at how unreal and comical they made the movie. The movie was a mix of a girl with "Supersonic" voice powers capable of killing cricket like ghosts and the main ghost, was a really cute girl that.. till now I can't seem to understand why she had to die. Oh, and lots and lots of hair.

After the movie, we were all tearing the movie apart, going through bits and pieces of the whole show. Then we headed to Carl's Junior for some om nom nom. It was pretty great and quite a number of people attended the highlight of the event, Miku's celebration.

Yes yes Miku-chan! A celebration for you!
And so like most birthday celebration, we had cake we had food, we didn't really have booze, and we had laughs!

Thanks to Sakura a.k.a. Syazana for the CAKEY!! And look at the Mikus celebrating around the cake!
We had some fun figuring whether or not to sing a birthday song out in public while holding the nendoroids at the risk of looking like nendo worshipping otakus. But then common sense won out and we just cut the cake.

Choco Miku on a cake!
Lero doing the honor of slicing the cake.

Jerry and his cake

Jerry and...his cake again!

Reigan gobbling up the cake like..a boss!

And Megat with his ultimate blessed face!

Aozora happily accepting her cake
Jhan..finishing his cake like..lightning fast

Me nomming my portion of the cake!

Sakura a.k.a Syazana nomming HER CAKE!

And...D'AAWWWWW the complimentary feeding pict!
So yeah, it was a great day, great time spent and back to reality of college and assignment rushing. You guys were the best! =D We should do this more often =)

The gang and the cake before it was mutilated.
Till next post! (Only God knows when I'll even be posting   -___-)

Cheers all!
Vincent

P.S: Why for some reason...this head reminds me of.. Mami from Puella Magi Madoka Magica?
Just saying~

Bon Odori 2012 ~ Summer Event!

Well, hello biological beings! I'm back with a new post. This time a look on the summer event, Bon Odori.

Bon Odori or Bon Dance, is held to honor one's ancestor. But still it never stops people from joining in the festivities. This year, Bon Odori was held at the same place, Stadium Matsushita, Shah Alam on the 14th of July. There was stall loads of food and a stage was set up in the middle of the stadium for the Bon Dance.

This year marked the 4th year of my attendance to Bon Odori, and the 2nd year in a yukata.
So enough talking and pictures! =)

It won't be hard to guess which is me =)

That's all for now folks!

Cheers~

Spirit Lifting Food?

Why hello humans and other biological beings. Currently I have quite enough free time to spend it on blogging so yeah, here I am again! TADDDDAAAAA!

Well, since it isn't really the end of March, I can't conclude my month of March yet, continuing from the previous post "March Of Sorts", basically, my month hasn't really lifted off even when it's close to the end. Sat around the house fixing my art sculpture, and binge on food. Yes, I love food. Little wonder though, it's in my genes to keep eating and not get chubbehhh! Ahahah, envy me you mortals! *cough* What did I just say? I mean, err, oh...ahh... 0_0

They say, "Eating is one of life's enjoyments!" (Or maybe I said that). Doesn't matter, somehow, when you're eating things, you don't think of anything else anymore. Not one bit of your problems. It's just you, your mouth, chewing that bit of morsel in your mouth, rolling it on your tongue, savoring the flavor, enjoying the mix of taste and sensation all over the insides of your mouth, to end with one.Satisfied.Tummy. It really makes you enjoy what you are doing at the moment besides thinking of all other things around you.

BUT, that's not a reason to stuff yourself with food for no reason. That'll just be called STUFFING

Right now, I'm stuffing myself with this

How many of you actually remember eating this as kids? I remember mom and dad used to buy me a box, I'll hold on to it, enjoying every little tiny raisin. Didn't matter whether it was golden or black. As a kid, we enjoy things without thinking much about them. Those were the good ol' times.

And last night it was this

Ignore me, I'm always doing epic faces.
Yeap, POCKY! Sent to me by my dear cuzzie from New York City. Technically, yes they're junk food, but they're still categorized under F.O.O.D.

So that's from me, a short little post.

Cheers~

March..of sorts~

It's almost close to two weeks, it's been a mad rush of trying to finish up assignments, most of them last minute. This I blame PROCRASTINATION. Always so tempting and always so irresistible. Oh well, who am I kidding anyway? Partly it was due to me being naturally lazy, and another, writers block. Coming up with design ideas, sure is....not an easy job. Right now, with just a week to go before my semester break, the past three months of this semester seemed like a dream. Oh gosh, time sure flies.

So, instead of talking much, I'll just post some pictures.

This was just for sculpture. Then there's the art and design work, designing shirts for people to be stylish and something that you people will decide to wear, I must say, IS NOT AN EASY JOB!

Having to put this kinds of things on a shirt in a pleasing manner for the eyes. You get what I mean. By the end of the day, you'll just turn into something like this

Twisted much..practically
BUT, somehow, chilling with friends, hanging out and all, they'll cure you. But not totally cure. You still get things like this

Yes, I'm random, I'm hyper. I do funny/speechless and some other indescribable things. That's just how I roll!
Here are some other stuff that happened to during my two week gestation period.

Had some fries

Had some satay
Drew some stuff.
That's basically how it went for me!

Have fun and all people, cause semester break, I'm getting my fun and rest!

Cheers~
